testing batteries (possible AD issue?)

Does anybody have a way of testing batteries? I have a battery tester, but its only a 100A draw & will test up to 500CCA. Batteries are original (about 5.5yrs old).

I'm trying to diagnose a issue with my AD165. What's happening is that when cold I get 22-23psi, but once it's warmed up it will be about 19-21psi. I've drained the water separator & the fuel filter only has about 3000miles on it.

I'm trying to figure out if its the batteries or if I'm having a slight injector leak back. I only have trouble starting it when it sets over the weekend & I wouldn't call it a big issue. It just seems to take a couple more revolutions to start the truck. A couple of times it didn't start the first time. But during the week days it starts without any problems.

I don't have any smoke at start up, no raising oil levels, last oil analysis didn’t show any fuel in the oil (about 3000miles ago).. Engine is running smooth (but did notice more "pinging" once the truck is warm since it turned 60,000+miles). It does have like an exhaust ticking sound when cruzin’ around 50mph with torque converter locked (low boost) which I have to get a chance to look at.

Sorry for the long post but thanks for help!.

To properly test the batteries you must isolate them from each other, then load test each one. Note the rate of descent on the load tester and compare readings. A good battery will hold 10-11v under full load.

Being that the load tester that i have only can properly test up to 500CCA, is there a way for me to test the 850cca stock ones?

Or do I have to take them out & bring them to a place like Autozone?
