Temps before and after Smarty Jr???

I know I need gauges before adding any power but can anyone share some numbers before adding the Smarty Jr and what the numbers were after adding the Jr???

I said I'd never buy it until after I had gauges but I've got a deal I can't pass up. I'm afraid I won't be able to wait on gauges if I jump on this deal.

Thanks,
Greg.

Get it, but wait to install it till you have gauges and a fuel system to support it.

I have the Smarty Sr....but I can tell you under normal driving conditions, my truck runs much cooler with it on...even on level 9.

I have taken it off and back to stock....and my truck runs 200-300 degrees hotter around town. and longer to cool off.

But you do need gauges.

Thanks for the info on the Sr. cause I've been looking at that and really on the fence between the Smarty, or the BD...either PMT or triple dog. Wanna see about testing them before I buy maybe.

Thanks guys. That's exactly what I was looking for. How do you add a chip and drop temps like that?

Greg.

Advanced timing, duration, and different fuel ramp up all contribute to better mileage. In my theory, its possible to gain mileage substantially because more useable power during daily driving means that you can essentially use less throttle to get same driving habits, that along with the timing helps keep egts cooler and in cylinder temps cooler than even stock. But there can be a fine line in tuning, its not hard to find a program that can make things toasty in certain conditions. That's why the gauges are a must.

I think Rick kinda nailed it. The Smarty rewrites your ECM programming and I think Marco at Mads Electronics has it figured out very well.

I drive my truck just normal unless im in a dyno, race event etc. But I leave it on level 9 every day......usually even when towing. Been like that for almost 60K miles.....so it obviously isn't hurting anything.

It's nice to have the power when needed...pulling away from a light etc. But if you use the power your mileage will go down.
