Question temp sensor

Was looking to buy a 97 duellie and noticed the overhead display reading oc. Does this mean the temp sensor is faulty? Where is the sensor located? Also this truck has no abs brakes but I noticed wiring at the top of the rear diff. Is this correct?

The OC indicates an Open Circuit.
Check the wiring to be sure all connectors are tight.
