Temp and Direction console

Having problem with correct temp showing on my temp console. Any ideas before I tear my console apart.

Are you talking about while the truck is stopped, the outside temp reading creeps up ?

It is about 30 degrees off and fluctuates alot.

Cheapest and easiest thing to try first is the ambient temp sensor. I believe......it's on the drivers radiator support on your truck.
