Give Dusty a call at HTS. Great people to deal with. I have over 10,000 miles on his tranny with tq management turned off. I drive it like I stole it every day of the week. If it will hold up to me its amazing...

from what ive been told, a TC and VB is a good upgrade but if you want to disable the torque management, those mods would work but i dont know for how long. maybe days? if your wanting that big time power, then maybe you ought to consider getting a built one. i know 973604x4 loves his built DTT. hes running the crazy larry and i know hes waiting to add some more power cause his tranny will handle it. only thing is those are pretty expensive.

No offense to anyone but I know of a guy that has a Full Billet DTT and its going back to the shop again for probably the 7th or 8th time. That was one of the deciding factors for me going with HTS.

Holy **** thats a lot of money for a trans! So if you only have a Smarty and you run level 5 would you be fine with a TC and VB? The Smarty doesn't disable TQ Managment does it?

Another bump for HTS. Couple guys up here are 500+ hp on a TC, Input shaft, Valve body, Flex plate, and a coupe other little goodies. Cheaper then a full trans. www.htstransmissions.com

I am not sure about that Smarty for you 3rd Gen guys but it is my understanding that the ones us 2nd gen guys have remove the TQ management. With my 2nd gen and very mild mods I smoked the tranny in short order after a TC and VB upgrade.

I checked earlier this summer and EVERY tranny builder was at least $6,000 for a full billet. ATS was the highest with a price tag of over $7000
Like Charlier8301 said, there are some trucks holding up with tc/valve body/input shaft/flexplate + other goodies. It is holding in Mariannes 05 with the Scarry Larry. If it will hold up to that it will hold up to a Smarty.
