TC & Valvebody strong enough for 120hp?
06 5.9 Auto. I've had the tc and tranny go on a 90hp setting, then on 50hp setting, then gave up on the chip all together and went stock and the tranny lasted the least amount of time. Will a tc and valvebody be enough for me to hammer on it with 120hp setting? Or do I need to overhaul the whole tranny with aftermarket? The tranny and tq has 500kms right now and I have babied waiting for what i'm gonna do.
I was looking at a bd tc and valvebody. Has anyone have experience with these products? My other choice in town here is ats, but they are alot $$$ then the bd stuff.

Hmm I'm thinking I should go full race tranny then. I do a lil bit of high boost launches, can't stand punks who line up beside u at lights with their ricers.

With boosted launches your input shaft and flex plate will be in jeapordy. I suggest going with a built trans/TC with a billet input shaft and laminated or billet flexplate.

If I had to do it all over again, that's what I would do. I wouldn't go full "RACE build" though, unless you were gonna drag sleds around.

Depends on how well you control yourself. I was doing 6-8psi launches in 4wd with just the VB and TC. That gets you a pretty good launch.

HTS can make you a valve body that take what ever you throw at it. and a full race tranny is not a bad idea, its insurance. dont have to worry about anything for when you decide to add power! Plus there prices are very reasonable. www.htstransmissions.com
