TC changeout time

How long should it take me to change out the TC if I have never done it? I am planning on setting aside an entire day but don't think it should take that long.

Thanks,
Nathan

For a first timer...that sounds about right. I would buffer it with an extra day, just to be safe.

The first time I pulled a trans, it took me about 6 hours, but that was MANY years ago on a car.

[brag]Same car, had driveline shock problems and caused several clutch discs to fail. I got so proficient at R&R that trans, I could do it by myself, with 4 tools, and be done in 3 hours. [/brag]

It took me all day. While you are in there, replace your front band apply lever with a nice billet lever. It's cheap and easy to do when the tranny is out. If you have done or will do mods to raise line pressure in the tranny, it will be worthwhile insurance. The stock lever doesn't like the extra pressure.

Thanks for your input. I was hoping it would arrive today and I could do it this weekend. UPS tracker says not til Monday though.

I'll let you know how it goes.

So I'm not the only one with that luck? Been trying to put gauges in for two weeks. Backordered............
