Tansmission Question

I have an '06 3500 5.9. Over the last few days I have noticed the transmission occasionally doesn't seem to want to upshift normally. It hesitates, requiring a higher than usual engine RPM to encourage the upshift. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Ok. It seems like it wants to stay in a lower gear as if it's under a load, but it's not. My fluid level seems ok but did seem to have bubbles in it. I thought that seemed a bit unusual.

Does the fluid smell burnt or have a darker tint to it? If so, that is not good news at all, cause you just smoked something. The last time mine acted like what you are saying your is doing, I took it to dodge and they had to rebuild the transmission. This might not be your case at all, all I can advise is that you take it to a tranny shop or the dealership and let them look at it.

I would check the fluid level as it could be low.

Thanks for the input. It goes in the shop tomorrow!
