How did you get backup lights with a 4 pin connector, I had to tap my reverse wire?

Yes, but I didn't think 4 pin connectors have a reverse wire? Chuck said "works with blinkers , brake and back up lights plugs in to the 4 pin trailer plug", so I am cornfused.

the regular line of fire, which is the blinkers, running light and the brake light- plug right into the 4 pin connector-maybe the new ones that also have the reverse lights, require plicing the into the reverse lights??

Yeah if you have the fire and ice, you will have to tap into the reverse light wire. So far mine has stuck on without a hitch, which is quite amazing here. We have an amazing changes in temps. From 100 above, to -40. No problems so far, but I did take extra care when installing it.

Mine (60" Recon Fire and Ice) is held on my 3M adhesive tape, it is then bolted to those (taped) tabs.

Reverse wire was a white one on mine, pop out the drivers side signal, tap the wire, done.

I like the fire and ice idea but I have not seen where the function of the back up lights are worth the money. The LED's are so small that their light output is minimal. I did see something that I liked on Recon's site and that was the white LED's for under the bed rails. I have to hook and unhook a GN after dark on a pretty regular basis and those would be nice. So I wonder, and because I do like lights, what if................you put a fire and ice strip across the top of the cross over box and put the "ice" on a toggle switch? Probably a little too "red" huh?
