Tail / Brake Lights

I am having problems with my Tail / Brake lights sticking on my truck. The brake lights on the rear are stuck on and the light on the dash is lit up. What is throwing me off to start the trouble shooting is that the 3rd brake light does light until I hit the brake and goes right off when I release the pedal. Also the stuck on brake lights also go off when i turn the key off, where if you hit the brake pedal with the key off all 3 light up. Where do I begin? Thanks for the help.

As far as the brake light staying on, my truck did it when I first bought it. Just above the pedal where the switch is I put one of those sticky felt pads on the plunger. You know one of those pads you put on a dish so it doesn't scratch the table. The plunger is not adjustable so just put a spacer on it. You could go to a dealer and get it fixed also, but I have had no other problems 2 years and still going. I have read that some of the older trucks get come corosion on the tail light bulbs causing the sensor to believe you have a bad bulb.
