Got my TAG III installed on the ol S-300 this weekend before I took the TT to the mountains. With my Scotty II system the S-300 was a little raunchy with noise on the highway and made the passengers grumpy. So I added a TAG III with the intensions of sound control mainly, but now I have noticed a real change in the performance of the turbo.

Seems to have dropped my cruising EGT's about 50 to 100°F with lower boost? Sounds weird I know... Also I found it easier to bark the turbo as I am well into the 40 psi mark between shifts alot sooner than before, so I have to be carefull to pull up on the fuel slowly between shifts. Actual performance increase is hard to get a handle on. But for the price of the TAG III direct from Diesel Power Products, its pretty hard to dispute.

The sound control works well, still have some of the low volume whine of the turbo, but the ear pearcing air rush is gone. Nice change for sure. It caps off the sound control project for the truck now that finally completed the Sound deadening coverage on the floor and rear panel.

I have a nice week of a few 6-8 hour trips, so I should have a better feel by the end of the week..

I've also heard it lowers your boost numbers. You should see an increase in fuel economy too. Let us know if you gain any mpg's.
