Ok I will be so freakin happy to finally get my tools out of stroage ina a few weeks. It is killing me to not have everything I need to do my work.

What size is the allen head to pull the plugs on the tcase? I need to go buy one.

I plan on doing mine this weekend. The truck just clocked 60K miles and I've flushed the radiator, power steering, brake fluid and changed the oil and filter in the last couple of weeks. Time to do the tranny and filter, and the transfer case. I've never done either job before in my life, but doesn't sound too bad.

It's very simple. I have changed all the fluids and filters in the last 2 or 3 weeks as well. I have done them all before, so this is my second time. But all my tools are in storage becasue I just go back from deployment. So it is a pain in the butt trying to get the right sizes for everything.

The only fluid I haven't changed is the coolant. I looked at it and it's still very clean. No need to change it.

I just walked inside after draining the t-case. It was pretty much brand new looking. I grabbed my self one of those gallon bottle hand pumps from autozone for like 5 bucks. Makes adding fluids under the truck alot more simple. I just put the hose down in the quart of ATF and start pumping. Once it drops down I cut the top off and just kept filling it up until the Tcase was full. It took about 2.5 - 2.75 quarts

Did you drain it cold or warmed up to 140F or so? Where'd you deploy to? Navy, Marines?

I drained it cold. When I did the tranny it was warm becasue I had drove around town a bit.

I am in the Marines. I am getting out after 8 years. Trying to join the Air Force as an Officer. In the middle of getting my package together for the board.

I did one year unaccompanied tour to Japan.
