I'd buy from Thuren or Carli. I prefer the stud upper end vs. the bolt Lorenz uses.

I've got one in the box that I'm gonna put on this weekend. I got it from Rock Auto.com; I believe it's a Spicer; the bushing looks alot better than stock. I believe I paid about $55 for it

I am not trying to start any wars, however, I would like to fabricate my own end links. Again, I am not trying to start any wars. This is something I would like to try and do for my own personal use.

Where can I get the materials to do this?

Thanks for your in put.

Boris

Have you run the #'s to see the strength diffrence in using 1/2" grade 9 hardware vs 10mm Stainless? Stainless almost doesn't compare to the grade 9. The strength of Stainless is stronger than a grade 5 bolt, but weaker than grade 8. Frankly, neither of our Links compare to the 10mm mild steel tac welded stock units.

LORENZ uses Billet 4130 Chormolly for the actual links as well. My machinist hates me. He went through more taps and bits than he ever has, and didn't make a dime on our last production run. The Rod Ends that Carli and I both use are a toss up in the strength dept, as they are the same units... FK 4130 Chromolly heat treaded.

I'm usually a proponent of "Keeping It Simple Stupid" by using less parts, but this product was a no brainer. We use 3 pieces vs 2 because it increased the overall strength in this application.

No, I never compared the strength of the two setups. Frankly, never needed to. I can't see either failing. I prefer the stud upper mount just because I find them easier to work with.

No offense intended, but I want to be sure I understand you here. What you're saying I'm less likely to bend the stock ones? I'm not expecting to get DW again, but if I do I'd hate to find out that my pricey new end links would bend easier than the cheap stock ones. Sure I'd like to get the stabilizer bar back to the stock setting, but not at the expense of strength.

What Sean is saying is both aftermarket end links are vastly superior to the junk Dodge supplies.
