Swapped secondarys (super b in place of stock HX35)
Got bored and swapped out my stock HX35 for a super b that I had laying around. My first reaction was how much slower it spools up now. Just went for a quick test drive a few O-70 pulls cause 5th gear is still out no money right now egt's didn't get above 1200 with boost at 60 before pegged my 1600* pyro with 65 psi but that was in fifth. I want to tow something now. Wastegate was set a 40 when I took it off. I am thinking about swapping back but ill wait until I get my tranny in so I can compare better.

What's the primary doing? Most likely the gate is way too tight on the secondary. This would explain the lower boost as the primary may not be getting full exhaust flow.

Well what I found yesterday is the rod going to the wastegate arm lost its cotter pin so the wastegate was always open. Hmmm maybe this was what cause so much lag. I hope that it spools a little quicker now. With my old setup a had the afc so it wouldn't give it full fuel til ten psi I am goin to try and give it a little more sooner to see if that helps out.
