It would be a total PITA. I have thought about swapping in a manual on an old Ramcharger, that was more pain than it was worth. I can't imagine today on computer controlled engines, wouldn't even know where to start. If you want a manual real bad you may want to consider trading...

swapping to an auto wouldn't be as bad as going the other direction, but is would still be a real pain in the you know what

It is very doable, but I question the economics. You would have to sell all your manual only components as used parts to a very limited customer base and you would then have to purchase new auto only parts and many of these would not be common replacement items and consequently would be costly in both time and money. Please also understand that both the wiring harness and computers are different. I guess I can't see your logic.

going from auto to man is easy, no wiring changes.

going from man to auto, lot harder (my problem to deal with)

i appreciate everyone's opinion but with $ into it, custom suspension, etc, the only thing i do not like is the trans. just wanted a feel if anyone is aperantly, as stupid is i am. guess not.
