Surging going down hill?

When driving home to Butte, MT Wednesday, I was going down the hill into Butte (probably 5% grade) and when I would accelerate slightly the truck was surging. Fuel level was approx. 1/4 tank as it was the end of the trip and I didn't want to buy fuel when I could get it from our bulk tank for free.

Is this just the pickup tube getting some air in the tank, or am I having lift pump issues? No troubles coming back to Havre Saturday. I am ordering a low fuel pressure light right now. Thanks in advance.

Surging going down hill!

Mine has been doing that since new! Never has been able to be fixxed even with wasting over $15,000 on the factory problem!!! You probably have a bad voltage coming from ??? ( I have seen it on an osocilloscope) it is shutting off the fuel shut off selonoid as well as defueling the engine? Does the engine sound tinny at idle and have trouble throttling up? Mine labours to get to 1500 even going down a grade. Mine bucks going down a slight grade driving around town. 1100 to 1275 needs heavy throttle to get through it. If a dollarshop has a drb and the add ons to use it as a scope then they can check what the signals to and from the vp44. Mine defuels so bad that I burn fuel at 9.7 to 11.3 Liters per 100 km's. At 11,400 lbs I was burning at 7.4 L/100 km's. Good Luck with the problem.
