Ok so I can set the cruise at lets say 70 mph and on flat ground it wants to surge, not really bad but I can watch the boost gauge go from normal 5-8psi to 15 then back down. I'd say its about like a slow beat about 3-4 seconds between surges.
It doesnt do it if I'm using my foot but as soon as I hit the cruise button off we go.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a vacume leak. Not familier with your yr. mdl.

If you have your Drag Comp set too high...the added fueling makes it surge!

At least it does on my TST PM3, if I set it higher than #5.... out of 9 settings.

On the Edge Comp, you may only need to adjust your responsiveness setting lower.

Someone posted recently about a cure for the surging while on C.C. They used a wd-40 spray extender tube(or similiar)and inserted it into C.C. vacuum line at pot under battery. With MAD ECM and injectors I also had surging, thought I would try this simple fix, and it worked great to virtually eliminate the problem. [coffee]

What you are doing is restricting the vacuum to the cruise throttle actuator, keeps it from being so sensitive. You can also gain a couple miles per gallon driving in cruise with this mod even if you don't have a surging problem.

I am not sure if this applies to the 03 model trucks or not but does someone have a picture or at least a good description of where this vacume line is located and what it looks like? Having a hard time finding it on an 03'. Maybe the 03's are all electronic? ANyone know for sure?

Still has to have a Vacuum Pump cause it's diesel.
I would start at the pump...attached to front of the power steering pump (if same as 02's) and trace the air line back. I know nothing about the 03's
