The build date was supposed to be 03/04/03. When I called to check they said that it was still at D1 Status, and that it looks like there were parts on backorder... Says He doesnt know when it will be built.<br><br>Doesnt D1 Mean that the parts were available??? Does anyone know what parts might be holding things up.

DC gave me a ship date of 3/03,called later they said 3/04,called today they said still in D1 but hadn't been updated since 2/27.They said they were updated on Tuesdays and Thursdays so i guess i will try back tommorrow

Hmmm my tune's starting to sound like your guys'. Mine's been in D1 for 10 days with a ship date of March 6th but it keeps sitting at D1. I just hope the 0% financing incentives last long enough for my truck to arrive, I could really use that :)

BTW when you guys call, do you call the dealer or call D/C directly? My dealer said D/C doesn't want you calling but instead call the dealer so they can look it up on the computer and not bother D/C.

I always called DC on mine; I knew statuses and ship dates when the dealer didn't. I had the same problem with the D1 status as you guys, but it went on the line and was finished before their database even showed it in &quot;paint&quot;. When they showed it in paint it had actually been shipped (of course I didn't know that until a week later when it showed as 2nd rail carrier). Yours should come soon if it is being built in Saltillo Mexico. Some of the people at DC customer assistance only read what's there, but a few go try to pull an update and sometimes can get a more recent status. The best person I talked to was Chris at DC customer service.

I ordered mine Feb 11. The guy I talked to at DC on monday seemed to believe that there was a parts holdup on it but did not know what. Called DC today,they said mine shiped yesterday 3/4/03.She said they wouldn't have a railcar # until it was in US.Maybe some of you other guy's trucks are on the same train.Or at least the next one :) :)

You guys need to find a different dealer. The dealer who said the parts were on back order was an idiot. It takes a day or two for our computer to update itself. So if you had a build date and the build date comes and the dealers computer still show D1 that doesn't mean squat. Just sit tight and try not to get paranoid. Your trucks will come before you know it. I have been seeing 3-5 weeks from order to delivery on all of my trucks coming from Mexico. Even HO/48re's.

How about mine Luke...at 11 weeks right now. I've called and e-mailed every number I can find. No 'real' answeres..just a bunch of hoey out of everyone I've talked to. Everyone has been very nice and polite - they just don't seem to have any answeres.

Did your dealer tell you it was D1 or did DC tell you that? I have never had a truck on D1 more than 15 days before it was built.

Near as I can tell it has been D1 since jan 16. That info is from D/C. After waiting 11 weeks you are entitled to an explananation of exactly what has gone wrong and then someone at Dodge needs to pull some strings to put your truck at the front of the line. See my post on dealer run around for a real joke of a response from the e-mail contact. All I get is, &quot;everything seems fine&quot; and &quot;going as planned&quot; I'd like to get there 'plan' in line with mine !<br><br>Pretty much at a loss of what to do but call every day and wait for it to show up...hopefully they will get tired of me calling and build the truck.

I did read the other thread and the messages from the D/C rep look like canned responses. <br><br>There are a multitude of variables that determine when a vehicle is built. Examples of these are options, color, and geographic region. Because our records show the order and do not have any errors or alerts posted to this individual vehicle, it would be safe to assume that everything is going as planned. I don't see a need to make any changes to the order.<br><br>The fact that he &quot;assumes&quot; nothing is wrong is not good. Obviously something IS wrong. 11 weeks and no build date isn't the norm. Everyone else is getting their '03 trucks in 3-8 weeks, even dealer stock orders as Luke S has stated. If it wasn't for boards like this you wouldn't really know for sure how abnormal this situation is.<br><br>I'd try raising the volume a bit to try and get their attention now. Call your dealer, tell him you're thinking of cancelling and buying a Ford. [yuk] Ask for the number of a Dodge regional rep, INSIST on it. Write the DC rep back and tell him the same thing. So what if your bluffing a bit, they don't know that for sure. Squeaky wheel gets the grease right? Being patient isn't getting you anywhere.

Just checked with Union Pacific and my truck should be here in Kent , Wa on the 10th of March at 01630(ordered it on 10 Feb 03). I checked the official build date and it just happened to be on my birthday (26 Feb) hope that is a good ohm-an. I have been real impressed with DC. Ordered the Truck on the 10th Feb. Four weeks from order to delivery is not to bad. I just checked on my truck and it is in Boise,ID should make Kent,Wa on time just like DC customer service said it would. I can not say how happy I have been with Dodge Customer service and the great service they provided when I called (everyotherday) to check on my truck. Hope to be driving it this week. Takes 2 to 3 days to get it off the train and to the dealer, hard to believe huh. Any way first truck I have ever order from the factory and I have been very impressed with Dodge so far both the truck and their support.
Now I have to get rid of my 97 Ram 2500 4X4 5.9 D.

I called again this morning. My truck will ship out of Mexico Friday 3/14. That's exactly two weeks from the day the order went into the computer. Based on some of the experiences that others have had, I feel very lucky indeed. ;D

I was beginning to think it was happening to me, but I did finally get mine, and it WAS worth the wait. I knew I would be happy with the truck, but it was still very frustrating to have to wait.
