Superstock 62 and DDP 150s question

I have the opportunity to change my SB66 and Mach 6s to the above mentioned combo and was wondering if anyone else was running the same setup? how is the spoolup with the SS62? the SB spools great, but im needing a lil smaller setup but still wanna be around 500 and have a setup I can tow with if needed.

My old combo was a set of Jammer 5s, and a PS62 with a TST COMP, it put down 496/989 corrected and ran awesome on the street, so basically im trying to get back as close as possible to my old setup and was figuring that the SS62 would be a good compromise, im thinking it will spool a lil slower than the PS62 but faster than the SB and still cool on the top end, Thanks.

Just wondering why you don't just trade your Mach 6's for some 4's? I think Ph4tty might be game for that! Or are you already trading for the setup you mentioned?

From what I've seen you'll have a hard time making 500 hp with DPP 150, look at MSquare's truck, he's yet to crack 500hp with his...

Dude, you crack me up. I think you have like 30 posts on here now picking on Msquare about those injectors. I laugh every time that I read them.

I think that you will be much happier with the SS62 & 150hp sticks. I know I was when I changed from Dragon flow 200's & HTB2 64/14 to my current setup. It is now way more fun to drive & way better street manners.

JLent has well-publicized his satisfaction with 150hp injectors and his current SS62 charger.

It seems to me to be a proven combination that works very well.

I even seen a couple of those post as well, I would think that I should be right around 500 with those or mach 4s, after all I did hit it with a set of Jammers, my concern is will that turbo spool faster than the SB? now if i could trade my 6s for a set of 4s, and then someone gives me say a PS62/12 and a small donationI would be a happy man, Im still a lil up in the air about it but this seems the better way for me to go, I have had my fun with the big single and sticks, but for every day driving and just overall having a well balanced truck you cant beat a smaller turbo with say a 100-150 hp injector, ot just go with .

It's all in good fun, really. I think Msquare knows I'm just bustin his chops because he always drops the DPP name in F1 threads, so I decided I'm going to give him some pay back! I really don't care who runs what.

I think its a great combo, instant spool with a my standard, smoke is controllable, tows good(only towed 5000lbs.) Its a pleasure to drive with the Edge turned up a bit especially on mountain roads, it just takes off up the hills.

Crap! I just saw this sneak attack!

IF 500hp was where I wanted to be, I'd run down to DDP, put my old DDP sticks back in and yippee I'm at 500! Or even with my current set up, a little "DDP magic" and I'm there.

I have the SS62 and DDP 4's, the lag is not too bad at all, more than stock of course but not a dog by any means. I just dynoed at 521/1110 with the exact setup in my sig.

I sure have, I'm on every turbo thread bragging it up like Msquare is on every injector thread bragging. When something works this good, you gotta let the brothers know.

I have 4.10 gears & spool my SS62 at 1300-1400 depending on the setting that I am on. With no box, I can spool it at 1500rpm. I actually posted a video on you tube showing the thing spool, but the video quality sucks. Go to youtube & type in Super Stock 62.

Good post Alpha, nothing better than feedback from someone running the exact setup that he is looking at. How are egts? Smoke control? Spoolup?

With the box off, the smoke (when I try to make it) is less than the box was by itself, driving with box off and not making smoke is not too hard, don't mash it. I haven't had any huge EGT's but if cruising in fifth and on a slight hill sometimes it starts to get you, until you give it more and it spools up, but that's easy to control so there's no real EGT issues yet. I love it, has some whistle though!

I want to make this perfectly clear, well, you know.......

I toe the line and say how happy I am with DDP and I do not rip on the F1 "Mock Flock"......
