Superlift?

Does anyone run a superlift suspension lift? I am looking at getting one for my truck the 6" system with SSR shocks does anyone know how it rides, pro's & con's. I don't do too much hauling with my truck just occasional stuff nothing too heavy, but will it mess with towing and hauling at all just in case? if anyone knows anything that would be of value please any and all tips hints suggestions oppinions and advice are welcome. thank you.

The SS and SSR shocks are supposed to be nice, because they are made for Superlift by Bilstein

Just make sure you get full replacement front coils.....as some places use huge front coil spacers.

I have a superlift on and it has been good to me. Ride is good and the shocks perform well. A little smoother than skyjacker in my opinion.

I have Superlift front coils with Bilstien 5100 shocks. I love the ride. From what I have researched, I found that Superlift was the only one to rate the drivers' side coil higher that the passenger side. The coil had 3/4 of an inch more "lift" due to the driver and fuel tank weight on that side of the truck. With the coils, shocks, and control arm upgrade, definately a better ride than stock. Look at Top Gun Customz, that is where I purchased my kit. They worked with me on mix matching components to save on cost.

I second PIK about the higher rate spring on the drivers side. I have the same set up only the 6". I had some death wobble problems at first. I had felt part of the problem was on bumpy highways the tires bounced and that the single 5100 couldn't control it. I had a 2nd gen with dual front shocks that rode great. So I added the second shock and hoop. At the same time I added the Thuren track bar. I am now totally pleased. I have had no DW in since which was 40k+ miles ago. The truck rides great!!

I've never had a Superlift but i've had a Skyjacker and it didn't ride very good for being a better lift company. This time around I went with Tough Country and I was MUCH more pleased with the kit and the way it rode compared to Skyjacker, not to mention the money I saved. Just make sure you buy good shocks, adjustable track bar, and steering stabilizer they are the most important parts. From what i've found from tough country to fabtech to superlift they come with a few different parts for certain things, but the biggest difference is the price and stickers on the parts. Also, I noticed skyjackers coiled were just like painted on and flaked off during install, while tough country seem to be powercoated and it doesn't come off at all, heck the coating is better then kore's to in my opinion!

I went with the 4 inch superlift and love it. Go with the bilstiens!!!!! They are worth the extra cash. Superlift will also credit the cost of not using their shocks. Making the upgrade more barable. The ride improved dramatically over stock in everyday driving and especially getting off the road. I use my truck about the same as you it sounds and I had airbags installed for the tow factor. You may look into adding them as well. They are a great little addition to keep the level look when towing and help in supporting the load down the road. Superlift will get my business again.

I have the 6 inch with bilsteins and it rides great. The only complaint i have is that after about two years the front sits way too low. The coils seems to compress and sag after a while.
