Super Engine-but don't know when

I have a 2005 1ton SWB Quad cab with the 5.9L Cummins. Bought new in 2006 and have about 76K miles on truck. I have installed the Quadzilla 30-60-10 HP selectible chip on my truck about 2 years ago and run the chip at 30HP about 95% of time. I have experienced on about 5 occassions that the engine will get a super charged effect (not surging) with a very crisp throttle response, and extremely quick acceleration. I like the added torque and HP but I do not know what is causing this condition. I would be interested in knowing how to controll this.

This phenomenom goes away once that I restart the engine.

I kind of know what you are talking about, but I don't know what causes it.

Last time my truck ran really good like that, my water pump went out...

I had the same issue with a Ramifier (now called the MP-8).. Come to find out that water had gotten into the box and was making connections it shouldn't (basically turning the chip up and down on it's own). Pull off your box and blow it out really good and while your at it put some electrical grease on your connections.
