Studder (for lack of a better term)

Ok. This has happened 5 times now and I need some input.

I will be driving along, sometimes towing sometimes not, and I let off the gas or have it lightly pressed and the truck loses all power. Here is what happens.
  • Loss of power (cannot go above 15-20 mph)
  • Truck surges and studders
  • Turbo makes gurgling sound
  • Engine revs up to 3k RPM even at 10 mph
  • Water temp goes up to about 210-215
  • If I keep going till I can pull off for 1/2 a mile or so the turbo will get a boost and throw you back. You go from 10-30mph in 2 seconds. Then it slams back down to 10mph within 2 more seconds

I pull off, shut it down, wait a few minutes, restart it, and it is fine for another couple of weeks.

I currently have P2262 code. (no boost pressure detected). I just had the turbo cleaned, EGR cleaned, O2 sensors replaced, and supposedly the latest flash done. Got the code 2 days later and now 12 days later the above happened again. I plan on taking it to the dealer but will have to drive 50 miles away because my shop here in town doesn't have a diesel tech right now.

Does this sound like the turbo and the whole 2262 thing or is something else going on?

Anyone else had this problem specifically?

Ran fine today but still have the 2262. I've followed some users' advice and ran it in 4th around town and 5th on the highway. The turbo is still clogged I'm thinking because I essentially have no exhaust brake.

Please don't tell me this hasn't happened to anyone else.

Thanks!

Found out after searching for an hour and a half. lol.

Mobile Desoot.

From what I have read, it takes 30-40 min. How does anyone drive with it like that for that long? It happened to me today driving 50mph down a 4lane highway! Thankfully it was 330am so I was able to pull off the road.

Do you all let it go through the process?

I do beleive I am going to try and get my turbo replaced, then H&S kit here I come!
