Straight Through Donaldson Muffler

What is the short Donaldson straight through muffler part #?

I am pretty sure there is not enough room for me to fit the 51" and I remember reading about a 4?" but can't find the thread or part #.

Please help

Check this Post #23 Should fit fine. Fisherguy may have his part #. He is using a 40".

I just installed a 40" Donaldson and very happy with the sound and quality. I picked it up for $75 from Fleet Services in Anaheim, CA (I believe they are a chain) but just about any truck parts store can order it.

Yup, Nelso part number 86127, $67 CDN from Cummins, pics in my gallery.

Check out page 4 for the Donaldson / Nelson cross reference:

Glad you're happy with your Ratl, nice job with the install.

Got my muffler today

Guess I should have specified 5" pipe size in the original post!!!

The M08171 is for a 4 inch system.

So if someone can post the straight through part number for a shorter than 51 inch muffler for a 5" exhaust that would be awesome!!!!!!!!

I think I may order one to replace my stock muffler and resonator. Do they make one in 3" that will work with the stock 2001 piping?

Can I use the 5 inch M090535 on my 4 inch system using reducers? I heard this is the way to go with no kitty.

Or do I need to find a 4 inch muffler?

Not to hijack, but have any of you with a Magnaflow 5" exhaust installed a Donaldson muffler? Any negative feedback? I am considering installing one of these mufflers to improve flow and make the sound a little deeper. Thanks in advance, and I do apologize for the hijack.
