Storing my truck?

I suppose I'd put a battery tender on it, wash and wax it and clean the interior, and probably put fresh oil and a filter in it, if it is close to being due...
How long do you think you will be leaving it sitting?

I'd assume the fuel where you are now is winterized?
You could put some powerservice or whatever in, an like Ram2500 said, top off the tank so you don't get condensation in there.

I always stored mine for the winter up here in NY (close to seven months )
Just do as mentioned above by filling up the fuel tank. I pulled my batteries out and periodically charged them through the winter. I always changed the oil & filter as soon as I got it out too.
This always worked good for me.

Change oil before storing. Moisture/acids in oil will work on bearings, ect while in storage. Good ideal to get tires off ground and reduce tire pressure. make sure antifreeze in good order. Clean and wax vehicle as others sugggested. Clean interior. Is brake fluid in good condition along with rest of fluids. Take batteries out and have someone charge every other month. JMHO

I would not worry about the truck sitting for an extended period of time. The guys have hit all the high points. I have stored my vehicles (diesel and gas) for up to 11 months while deployed. I usually undid the battery terminals (both batteries) and made sure it had a topped off tank of fuel. I have not had trouble ever coming home and reattaching the batteries and firing the truck up. I would make sure it is parked away from a field or grass since little critters like to make nests, but just check out your intake when you get the vehicle ready to drive again. I would rather let my truck sit for one year than to have someone start the truck for 15 minutes a month. Doesn't charge the batteries enough from starting and doesn't get it hot enough to burn off anything. You will be fine. I have stored vehicles alot while in the Marine Corps and until I got married, nothing catastrophic has ever happened to mine. Scotty
