stock pinion factor

stock pinion factor
Need to get my 04 reset for stock tires (265-70-17) at the dealer. Before I go in there I need to know what the stock pinion factor is so I can make sure it's done right (you know how it is).
Or, does the scan tool have a fool-proof "return to stock" option that would make it all simple? Thanks in advance.

there are tire selections in the scan tool that they use. Just tell them to put on the tire size. You have to manually input revs per mile if your tire size is not listed in the tire selection window. 265 70 17 is definitely in that listing.
Hope this helps

Thanks. I thought only 06 and newer went by tire size and that 04s were strictly revs per mile. I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

The BFG Rugged Trail stock 265/70R/17 tires are 661 RevsPerMile.
The Michelin LTX/x 265/70R/17 tires are 657 RevsPerMile.
This is manufacturer spec for the Dodge specific tire.
