The down pipe is 3" and the muffler outlet 3" .

BTW, welcome to DTR......you will love it here! Are you running a Comp or EZ?

CTD NUT, not saying your wrong. I just haven't measured it yet, but I was told the 01 has a 3.5 inch system?

Well as for the 2002 it a 3" into the resinator and 3" out of the muffler but between the two it's 4"...

I used a piece of 3" inch pipe at 64" long to striaght pipe.

Just my 2 Cents...

All 2nd gens have a 3" down pipe.....I have been told some odd ball 01.5's and 02's have a 3.5" outlet muffler but I have never actually seen one for myself to clarify that - all the outlets I have seen are 3". As Mopar mentioned, the inlet size on the muffler is 4".

I curious about how you going to run the pipe if it a straight shot!? In the pic above the last clamp at the bottom of the pic is where my pipe curves up to clear the rear axle. Are you think of dumping in front of the tires? Still if you plan on going all the way back then you need to bend the pipe to clear the axle...
