Is stock clutch strong enough???

Recently i just got back from Moab pulling my Jeep on a 16ft trailer and a 3,000 lb camper,I have an 06 Dodge with a six speed and it's powerhouse is a Cummins a few times on take off it seemed as if the clutch was not strong enough to support this kind of takeoff,my question is when time to change shoud i put something stronger in it clutch wise.?.......Toy Hauler

How badly have you beat on the stock clutch?

How much power have you added?

Pulling my fifth wheel I'm at about 19k lbs combined. I haven't had any issues in the last 17k miles.

My clutch is holding up fine.

It should be plenty strong enough? What size tires are you running and what gears do you have in it? Also what is the gcvw of your setup?

I have 35's on with 3.73 gears. I'm about 22,500 and I take off just fine. I think the G56 you have is geared lower than the NV5600 (could be the final drive ratio I am thinking of?) so unless you are running bigger tires than I am I don't see an issue. Like was said previously have you beat on your clutch pretty bad?

In the end though we could all use a super stout clutch so if you have the dough go ahead and get one!

It is all stock even the tires and only has 31000 miles on it.Everything seems to work well when it is rolling plenty of power it's just the takeoff seems to be like the clutch is already let out just before it rolls

My original Clutch went 180,000. I thought I beat it pretty good also. Lots of towing.
