Steering Wonder 04.5

I have the listed mods below and I love the truck big time, on the highway or basically any higher speeds the truck likes to wander especially above 60 Mph it even feels like it sways or something hard to explain but just curious do you think it's just the big tires pulling in the ruts in the road?? Or is there soemthing I can upgrade to help make it a little closer to stock?? I would greatly appreciate some help on this one!!

I think everyone is still Wondering how to respond. LOL

Anyway, click on the Defiant truck banner (advertisement) call Sage up and tell him you need one of his awesome dual steering stabilizer systems, that should fix the wandering or rut grabbing feel (unless your tires are bad).

As far as a swaying type feel, make sure your shocks are in good shape.

Ya, I didn' really explain the sway feeling correctly its more like an oversteer feeling like when you go to pass when you try to turn back in it feels unresponsive, the tires are fine and the shocks are brand new skylackers (I know they aren't very good). If I upgraded my shocks to Bilstiens and put the dual stabalizer do you think that would make a big difference?? What model bilstien or comparable shock should I go for with a 4.5 inch lift, or do you think the skyjackers are OK??

I second the dual stabalizers If everything else is tight. My son just put dual stabalizers on his F350 4x4 and says the feeling is night and day.

Guys the DSS is the only way to go.
I got the "wonder" on my 2004.5 and then ordered a DSS and its back to normal if not better.

The DSS is not your normal stabilizer either. It does not use shock absorbers.

You wouldnt' believe it I was just curious because the truck was really starting to become hard to drive, it was all over the place. I got my friend to wiggle the steering wheel side to side with the truck off but the key on and looked for any play in the steering system and looked at the pitman arm the big nut was nearly off and the pitman arm had slid down the tapered shaft and had lots of play side to side!! I retorqued it bigitime I might even put some lock tight on it as I torqued it good the first time I installed it!! So anyway the truck drives so much better now back to normal, but now that I'm on the topic and want the defiant DSS can anyone tell me what kind of difference I will notice with it?? Because of the big tires I still do get a bit of wander and the other big thing is when I hit big bumps the whell jitters and sometimes pulls after hitting a bump, will the Defiant DSS system help all this stuff?? Its alot of money to only make a little difference, I'm hoping someone is running it can tell me it makes a huge difference cause I'm hell bent for leather to get the KIT!!!

It could also be a wheel alignment problem, too.
