Exclamation Steering Problems

i have a 93 3/4 ton with 4x4 and a cummins auto. I have a steering leak at the box and the pump likes to dump out steering fluid out of the cap after i turn it off when parked (im not turning the wheels). also i think i have the death wooble sometimes as i drive, sometimes it is pretty bad but normaly it is only a little bit to nothing at all. think i the box is in need of replacing but a local shop ( one i trust said the box is not loose and i have also checked the complete front end and everything is tight and no loose parts including the box) also i have replace the mounting plate between the frame and box 2 times in 174,000 miles, any ideas. like i said i have no play in any parts of the front end including the steering box, but the box leaks quite a bit.

Well, if it leaks then you need to see exactly where it leaks and either get seals or replace the unit. The simplest test I know for steering gears it to have a helper turn the wheels back and forth in the driveway while you watch the pitman arm. My box felt loose and the truck wandered alot. When I did this test I found that the pitman shaft was super loose and I needed to replace the steering gear. I went with a carquest unit but it was not much better. I am now ready for a PSC box to cure this problem and I already have a DSS.
