No dipstick on powersteering reservoir. Well, at least not in the traditional skinny spring stick into a tube. If ya get air in there, from cavitation or breakdown of the fluid, pressure will build, but since the top "locks" on to the reservoir, there is no easy way out. I had all the powersteering hoses off for my milemarker 12klb hydraulic winch. Took a good 15 minutes with a helper to bleed the system, then it "burped" air for the next few days. All was well after that.

I just had my steering box replaced and it is still pressurizing the reservoir . Seem to recall seeing a post where a guy had his cap swapped and it did the trick . Something about the vent being plugged and building pressure !! Moron that replaced my pump left hose on top of long intake bolt and both hoses were rubbing .......... I can see why guys become their own warranty station !!! Both of my gassers saw 300,000 miles because I did all repairs & maint myself !

Some members have lost the cap to the P/S pump because of the pressure build up. A quick and easy fix is to put a very small notch in the o-ring seal so it will allow the reservoir to vent.
