Steering colum chirp
Well, here's my first post. Got a squeak or chirping noise that comes from the steering column area when I turn right. All I have to do is veer right to follow the road and there's the chirp. No chirp when I'm straight or turning left. Truck just has to be moving to here the noise. Any ideas before I start looking under the dash? I've been listening to this noise for about 9 months and can't take it anymore. It distracts me from the sound of my engine. Found no squirrels. No crickets. No mice either.

Not sure if its the same noise I used to have in my 1st gen. But the plastic on the column would hit the plastic on the wheel, and cause a chirp as I spun the wheel. A shot of silicone spray between the wheel and column fixed my problem....

Mine does it turning right and left. It isn't under the dash inside the truck, as I have sprayed all types of silicone and lithium grease under there.
I need to find it!

Still chirps
I'm still driving with the chirp. I think it is coming from under the hood where the steering assembly exits the dash. When I have some time, I'll look into it some more. Sounds like your experiencing the same exact noise.
