Steedspeed billet exhaust manifold.

Anyone with experience with this manifold? Just wondering how well welded billet steel works with diesel exhaust temps. It's a one piece manifold, would there be a problem with the expansion rates of the cast iron head and steel manifold?

man that is sharp looking and seems like it would have good flow, but I am curious about the expansion rate, like you mentioned.

Sure would be nicer to drill and tap for EGT probes. I would be curious to see the inside finish, I would hope it is more rounded inside.

I like it, spool up is better, dropped egt's some and I haven't had no problems with it being a one piece manifold. It looks awesome inside and out!

Thanks for the pics bigd450, just wanted to get some first hand performance feedback on another manifold option.

How was the installation? Did you use factory torque specs? How is the black coating? still like the pictures or is it flaking off or rusting through?

The installation was pretty good. I installed it with the turbo on it so it was a bit of a pain but that was mostly due to the weight. If it would of just been the manifold it would of been a breeze. I used the factory torque specs I think its 35 ft/lbs. I just checked them yesterday and there all still good and no exhaust leaks. The black coating is awesome it looks just as good as it did when I put it on and its seen +1500* quite a few times. It seems like the coating works pretty good, it doesn't take to long till the manifold is cool enough that I can work on it, the stock one took forever to cool off.

Did you get any performance gain numbers on it?

Hopefully soon here I will get back on the dyno. The dyno shop has just been swamped and I have been getting busy with work so things just haven't worked out. It definitely has more usable power though as it spools faster and I can stay in it longer without the egt's getting out of hand.

Did you have the stock manifold before or another aftermarket?
