starting/running problems
Well this is not my thing, I've got myself a 1st gen. My buddy has got a newer second gen. Its a 24v 3500. It isn't starting very well.....and when it starts it wont rev up or stay running. I was thinking it is the lift pump he thinks it is a eletrical problem. Its not the fuel filter so you can rule that out. Got any Ideas for him?
Thanks Coop

as I said I am new to this whole computer controled engine. When you say codes do you mean hookin it up to a computer and looking at the read out? Or do you mean jumpin a fuse and counting the amount of dash lights?
Thanks Cooper

If it's a 2000 on up, he can turn the ignition key on/off/on/off/on (without starting, just to "on") and the codes will read out in the odometer window.
If it's a 1998.5 or 1999, he'll have to have it hooked to a scan tool to retrieve the codes.
