Sometimes when I go to turn the ignition switch nothing happens. (I have heard a click under the hood when I have tried to start the engine and nothing happens). After a few tries it starts fine. Sometimes the starter kicks in after a short delay. A couple of times I have turned my truck off and pulled out the key and the truck is still running. My batteries and alternator are in good shape. I'm not sure if its the ignition switch, some electrical relay, or the starter? HELP!!!

 

Your starter contacts are burned. This is quite a common problem for these trucks. There is a place called Foster something (dang memory) that has the contacts and is very reasonable. I just wish I could remember what it is called..................... I hope somebody will chime in with the info.
