In the starting system, do we have a fusible link anywhere? Keys on, dash lights on, no juice to the starter, no dimming when you try to start, new starter that works, switched relays-good, fuses good. The fuel shutoff doesn't click on. Is it the ignition switch? Thnx Steve

Try the engine control switch

In the powerpack under the hood of the truck behind the driver side battery... I know that the alternator has a 120 amp fuse, but thats it. The engine control fuse is 30 amps, and pink in color, Might or might not be ur problem, but thats the one i had experience when my PCM go out.... best of luck

Lil hard to explain, but if I were you I'd pull the starter relay and first, see if there is 12v at pin 30. I would then put my starter jumper in the 87 and 30 terminals and push the button (refer to the bottom of the relay for pin locations, and you can "bump" the starter with the key in the off position, it'll still work). If the starter cranks this will tell me that the "working" circuit is all ok, and that I need to look at the "control" side of the relay circuits. On the control side, relay still out, have someone turn the key to the crank position. This should light up pin 85 or 86 with a test light. If that works the last pin is ground provided through the neutral safety circuit. I use an old horn button for the aforementioned starter jumper, but a piece of wire with two spade terminals will work too. Just "tap" it between pin 87 and 30 and the starter should engage......and as always, be sure the trans is in park or N on a manual.

isn't there a fuseable link coming off of the drivers side battery?,can't remember what it is for,thought it was for something in the start up.

Yeah, theres two fusible links on the drivers side positive battery terminal - cant remamber the specific function at the moment...
