This is short notice but I have a chance to pull in a few hours and I would like to know what gear to pull in. The truck is a 5 speed with 4.10s and 35 inch tires?
Thanks

Depends on how hard you want to be on your truck. If you think you have the power and that the clucth will hold then go with 3rd low range. that will give you your best shot to do well but is definatley hard on a non-pulling clutch. If not that try second low range. You will have less ground speed but you will be alot more likely to have a clutch left at the end of the run. Good luck!

3rd gear, 4WD lo range, spool to ~2500 rpm, let out the clutch slowly... make sure you're all the way off the clutch by the 75' mark. Let us know how it goes...

Well I took last place at 221 ft. I started in 3 lo and killed it right away but then went to 2 lo . That was the most fun ive had in a while. Thanks for all your help everybody.

I was sitting at about the 275 foot mark. There were some nice trucks there. Kroner you didn't do too bad. The duramax that won is from my area and has also won the henderson and union county fair pulls over in KY. That truck defiently has sleeper written all over it. I knew it was over when i seen him pull up. [yuk]

No this is a red d-max with a amber warning light on top. It is driven by an older fellow
