Stage II cp3,injectors, and Rail pressure

I have asked this question before but I am looking for some advice from the guys who know. At what point is Rail pressure too high. My truck only hits about 21K at wot. This seems a little low to me, so would it be ok to buy an ajustable pressure box to try to get to 24K at wot. Im looking to be safe though as this is my everyday driver, and dont want to beat the injector seats and internals. But I would think a little pressure would help? And if so who's pressure box? Just a little tentative as I have read some horror stories on how fast a modded cp3 and pressure can destroy injectors in no time.

Yeah I went for more mech performance, as some guys have gone more the stack route. Im a little old school and get a little worried with to many electrionic parts are telling my truck what to do. I run the Bullydog triple dog, crazy larry and a quad boost fooler, thats it as far as electronics go. But I think a pressure box would be a good addition, but I dont Know....

i agree with the old school part i am two,i dont run a pressure box,i run a ramifier, saw about a 1000 to 1500 rise in rail pressure, good enough for me,never got the performance i was looking for out of them.I run a stock cp3 with 240hp inj. my rail pressure is around 23500 at wot with everything on.

As of now, Im leary on pressure addition with a modded pump. 21K is good with the injector size you have and the downloader @ WOT.

I see a large number of injector failures with high average pressure. Heck I see a large number of injector failures on the 04.5 and up engines stock.

I am actually kind of confused with your statement.....You are old school, and went more mechanical performance, you are scared of too many electronic parts, but your changes to date are an electronic controller, and you want to stack it with another one???? Maybe I missing something. Not a flame, just curious as to what you are acutally trying to say, is all

No big deal, I just know of guys that double and triple stack boxes and post incredible #'s. It has been proven you need electronics to get serious HP out of these trucks. I have a downloader that I was thinking of stacking with a pressure box, not mixing two duration/timing , boxes as say triple dog and TST. I am trying to avoid computer issues we have all read about when you change out a downloader too often, or change out certain programs. Seems the ecm can be a little touchy, and is a bear to fix once it is screwed up...
Thats why I spent a good amount of money on injectors, cp3, cam and springs, instead of adding programs. But hey their are plenty of guys with electronics and stock cp3, injectors, and cams that post far better #'s than my truck will. Just preference I guess.

With my setup - any added pressure I can see 23k. Add pressure box and pressure builds much faster, but only peaks out at 24k or 1k more than without it. Pressure is higher between idle and wot (where it counts). I don't feel like I'm destroying anything, but maybe I am. That's with the sp box on, tst off. Haven't tried it with TST on yet, but I would suspect that the added duration of the TST would only lower the rail pressure negating any ill effects of "added pressure". what do you guys think?

OK, now I understand, more clear to me. I am hoping that the stack that I am going with (see sig) will do the trick for me until I can do the SPS and Injectors. I figure, being able to "ARP" with the new R49AP and all of the adjustability of the TST will keep me happy for awhile.

Cool, glad we understand each other
