Stage 2 Pensacola Injectors with a stock clutch??
Hi Guys...
Will my stock clutch hold the (70hp-100hp) stage 2 injectors from Pensacola? I've "learned" to drive my other CTD manuals transmissions and make the stock clutch work...I just want to make sure that these are no too much right away...I also have the 175 injection pump right?? (95 5 spd with 80K). On last thing...is AFE still the most popular air intake...? Thanks Again!

Stock clutch will slip anywhere from 250 HP to 350 HP depending on it's condition.
No telling how much power you have if you don't know what plate is in your pump. But i'd guess you would be just fine with those injectors since you are at upper limit of your stock turbo, you won't be able to use the extra fuel till you get more turbo anyway.

Just to let you know. Pensacola stage 2s are just Bosch Marine 300s. They are really ony a 40-50hp injector. Bosch marine 370 are a 90 hp injector.
The 300s are 4x.012 hole size.
They also arent the correct spray pattern. They are 155* pattern, our trucks have a 145* pattern.
The wrong pattern makes the truck smokey, hot, and will have idle haze.
I would check out http://www.neweradiesel.com/ diesel. Their injectors have the correct spray pattern and will run better in your truck. They also arent to much more money for the proper injector.
New Era is also a vendor on here.

I ain't arguing injectors with Don
If you drive sane the stocker will hold. Rick held a 100 plate, timing, GSK, and 370s for around a year on a stock clutch (IIRC he ran some DVs for part of it too). I've been running a 100 plate, GSK, and Timing for 65k...

Just to let everyone know.
I have ABSOLUTELY nothing against running a Bosch Marine injector.
I ran Marine 370s for almost 2 years and loved the power from them.
Like I posted in a different thread, I realized the difference when I switched to an injector with the correct spay pattern. Less smoke, less heat and the power came on ALOT smoother.
Marine injectors are cheap easy horsepower.

It seems to me that most of the people that hate the marine injectors have never run them. They just read... I am planning on running a set in the somewhat near future, I know they aren't the best but for the money...

I've now heard both good and bad on the pensacola injectors...what are the specifics of the sage one? Marine 275's?? Also, does anyone have a comment on air intakes...and how do you remove the silencer ring? Thanks again!

That should answer your question.
If you want a good set of injectors with the proper spray pattern for a good price check out New Era diesel.
They are also a vendor on here.
