Ive been running a 5" straight pipe for 6 months, im about to put 6" mitres on mine
Straight pipe sounds great, I just miss the stacks...
Wont sound as good as a 12valve, but should sound ok.

I like the looks and sound of stacks, but on my truck I'd rather have a tailpipe. I have a regular cab and i don't want the exhaust exiting right behind my head. I deal witha lot of loud noise at work and even though i love the sound of a cummins, i'd like it to be a little farther from my head when driving. Also I think stacks on a 3rd gen dodge look very good!

Just how loud are they on the inside? I have a quad cab, but my wife and I will be having a new baby riding in the back seat. How much louder would they be than just having a straight pipe from the turbo back (that's what I have now)?

I wonder if Donaldson makes something comparable to that muffler you used... I can get the hook up on Donaldson products. With the muffler and the stacks, it's not to loud in the cab??

donaldson does have 1. I had a 24 in donaldson on my Pete to make it california legal. My last 2 dmax trucks had that very muffler on it.
PM me with your email address and I can see if I can get a video of it with manual high idle on. I am not too computer savy.

Winner winner chicken dinner!
Pros and cons of stacks,
well pros are if you like em and have to have em their great.
cons are with a single charger their loud, and even with twins they can get annoying with the windows down.
You need to cover them in the rain, I have stack hats to cover mine but even so I always have a silver truck with black specks everywhere. Even if it hasnt rained I get dry flakes of soot that settle and screw up my truck.
Lots of attention, from every truck, ricer, doesnt matter they all seem to drive like idiots when they see a truck with stacks.
But hey I had to have them, and I wont change unless johnny law starts buggin me.
