Or you could do both. There's a kid that goes to the high school out here that put dual straight pipe mitre cut stacks out the back of his 93 lifted 7.3 PSD. I'm not a fan of the way PSD's sound, but his actually sounds pretty nice. The big 7" stacks really make his Powerstroke Growl, sounds mean. My bed is already too short as it is, so i'm not a big fan of stacks but i love the sound of 5"s and up on a Cummins. What i'm thinking about doing is getting a system with a 4" downpipe, 5" straight pipe to behind axle, and then getting 6" semi turnouts out each side pointing in an angled back/downward fashion to really make the ground rumble. Not to mention keep the bed of my truck a little cleaner from soot. I think it would be pretty neat and fairly loud. Louder is always better right. lol.

stacks are cool sometimes. But for driving alot it get's old having that exhaust right behind your head.
I run a 5" straight pipe and 6" tip out the back. Sounds good and is nice and loud when you go past buildings. And can smoke out the road with ease if you have injectors and such.

Do you ever plan on having a camper? How much do you use the box of your truck? I like the looks of stacks on some trucks but I would never have them and now a days it seems like everyone has them anyways

Speak for yourself! I never get tired of the sound. Its the middle of winter and I still hit the button and open up my rear slider just to hear that beautiful sound.
