stack exhaust question

just bought a 6 inch stack plan on putting it in the front passenger bed corner with space all the way around so i dont melt anything my question is with the drone level i want to keep a muffler on it however my exhaust is stock can the cat be moved forward enough to allow me to move my muffler or replacement muffler farther towards the front so i can then run a 90 out to the corner between the frame and bed floor then 90 back up into the bed to the stack i have heard diesels need some back pressure just not sure if what im trying to do will negatively affect my truck

I have have dual stacks which deleted muffler..i then punched cat so straight pipe truck does alot better but friging loud im looking at a resinator and moving my cat forward to make room ...sounds like what your asking..as far as back presure i was told no because the back presure is at the turbo so by cutting out muffler your just letting the heat out faster..ie egt.

csa is right the turbo creates enough back pressure, which is why straight piping is so popular among turbo diesels. If i were you id run a straight pipe with your muffler into a 90 then do somewhat of an s pipe over to the passenger side with your stack.

one more thing..in my state i still have to have cat to pass emission which is why its punched and not removed..all they do is look under truck for it so i can move it closer to down pipe and add resinator.
