SRT-10 Start button install
Just finished reading the couple of post from Tommygun and other folks who have done this
install. Seems eazy enough until you try and shut down a couple of circuits. For the folks that
just wired it in and did not worry about the other circuits, have you had any problems from the
radio, power windows, and other ACC componets? Secondly for folks that did install the relays
to protect the ACC circuits how did you do it?

Here's mine... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7924135163
The instructions it comes with basically just siad what wires are needed and where to plug them in. Since mine is lighted, there's one modual for the actual starting (tap intoyellow for starter and key hot to start) and the other module is to illuminate it (ground and power source... I tapped into wiring for dome lights so it dims).

Mark,
Purchased the start button from Rockwall Dodge $44.32 including tax. All I got was the start button no instructions from Mopar. I am going to try this mod over the weekend, and will post my results. Give me call if you want to check it out.

Well Started the SRT-10 conversion today. So far the hardest part of the whole thing has been mounting the button. The switch is held in place by two screws that go onto the middle beazle, on or trucks the molding does not incorporate the switch mount. So I am trying to epoxy two plactic 5/8 inch long rods to the beazle. Then I will drill a poilt hole for the mounting screws. Hope this works, because the only alturnitive is the buy the SRT-10 beazle for around $250.00. If it comes to that this BOMB will be scraped. I will hopfully finish on Sunday and can post results.

Bubba-CTD,
Did you use the SRT-10 switch or another aftermarket product. The SRT-10 button does go where the cig. lighter goes, however there are no molded post the screw the mountsing screws into.

No, that's what I was saying.. I use an Ignited Push Start button on mine since I wanted mine to light up. There are a couple pix in my gallery so you can see what mine looks like.
I'm not sure where the SRT-10 goes into... I would have thought the cig lighter as well since that's where it is in the truck, but I guess it has a different dash bezel on the SRT-10 then the others do and that's why it does not directly mount into it. I'll look and see if I can find the little instructions that came with mine... but dont' cross your fingers since I have stuff all over my house and the shop.
