squeaky rearend
I mean the truck, not mine.
I have a squeak coming from the rear when hitting small or large bumps in the road. Its more noticiable at slow speeds but may also happen at highway speeds. Its hard to tell whether its coming from one side or the other however I suspect the passenger side. I have added air bags and a sway bar however both were many thousands of miles ago. Anybody else experience this and/or have an idea of the cause?

Hard to say. Does the sway bar have polyurethane bushings? If so they might need to be greased, if dry they can squeak.
Also jackup each side of the truck via the frame and spray lithium grease between the springs and pads.

Marcus,
I belive I have the same thing, notice it most between 10 and 20 mph (road noise). I havn't even been able to figure out if its front or rear.
Various searches have turned up everything from a weld at the a-pillar/dash (said you could diagnose that by pushing on a corner of the truck or jacking it up).
Have also found couple of people that reported the black cowling at the base of the windshield was their culprit.
Quad59 you mentioned shock bushings/mounting points ... would overly tight or loose cause it?

I replaced the shocks with no change. I'll try the lube between springs and sway bar bushing this weekend....one at a time, hopefully I find it!

Just a plain ole guy
Don't do the grease. It'll stop it for a short time, then collect dirt and become a grinder. power wash the springs at a car wash and try that instead. Use a dry spray lube if you do so choose to lube them.

Sorry I am slow to post the resolution. It was the rear sway bar; removed it, cleaned the rubber/urathane, added a little silicone lube and reassembled. Quiet again!

I hope not; I wiped it down after re-installing it. Not much grease exposed to collect dirt;way easy, if I need to do this every couple years so be it!
