You usually never see tube headers on diesel engines because the vibration of the engine will, in time, cause the tubes to crack. Any time you run a header on a diesel you need to run supports to the header flange to keep it from cracking the tubes. I can almost guarantee that the header in the video and the one on the twin setup will fail by the tubes breaking.

You used to see some people running headers on 6.2 GM's and the 6.9 and 7.3 Internationals, but they had no turbos. I've also seen some semis with headers but they were just drag trucks.

The second one listed in the Honda forum looks like an overall good design. He has the tubes very close to equal lenth, the tubes follow different routes on either side of the flange (helps resist cracking and better supports the weight of the turbo), and he used a thick flange at the head that runs the full lenth. The only big problem I can see with it is he used what looks like pipe elbow on some of the bends which will drastically cut down on flow because they are a thicker wall than the tubing.

I would only consider running a tube header on a diesel for competition only. If you ran one on a DD I don't think you could get it to last.

I'm just glad that's not me or my engine, ... no sign of engine cooling or ear protection, ....
