Hey guy's,I recently swapped a auto tranny out of a 93 D250 into my 91 D350. My question is the 93 speedo unit had three wires. However my 91 harness only has two wires. I purchased a new unit to swap out the 93 unit but they are very different. Is there any way to make the three wire unit work with only the two wires that I have.Any help would be greatly appreciated.THX, C.L. Sharp

Why not just remove the speedo sensor from the '91 transmission and install it on the '93? It is a simple matter of unthreading.

Thanks ZONE5AB,I tried that but the sensor's attatch to the tranny in different way's. The 91 has a threaded sleeve that just screws onto tranny. The 93 has a retaining bolt that has to be removed and then the unit can be pulled out.So thats why I was wondering if it could just be wired differently.ThanksC.L.Sharp

The entire unit from the '91 should fit in the '93, there is a fork shaped steel retainer with a single bolt that holds it into the tailhousing. Remove the adapter and speed sensor from the '93 and replace it with the unit from the '91. Be sure to use the same plastic pinion gear that is in the '91 (it simply pulls out of the adapter) and index it according to the tooth count.
