they don't have 315's programmed into the computer for some reason??? the biggest tire the dealer can program on a 06 is 285's

What you do is measure roll out. Mark the tire and ground at exactly the same spot, roll the truck one full tire revolution mark the ground again. measure the distance in inches. Unless my math is wrong, there is 63,360 inches in a mile. Soo lets say your rollout is 105.5" 63360/105.5 rounded up should be 601, same as a 315 BFG. Measure them hot after driving a while b/c hot air expands and tire revs will change with the higher air pressure.
This was has been acurate for me every time. The dealer can adjust any tire size by selecting "other" on the handheld machine and punching in the revs per mile.
Hope this helps.

They programmed my dads for his 35 x 13.5x 20 wheels. They told him they only have a few update sizes to try. They used the update for the largest tires they had on file. It's still not enough. He is waiting for the diablosport predator update to be released and then he is gonna buy one of them.

DTR's 'Go to Guy'
The dealer needs to know revolutions per mile. They can program most realistic tire sizes with that. I can't remember what the max is, but they can go up 2 or 3 sizes. More than that and you need an aftermarket downloader.

I took my revs per mile in and they said they did not need it.....my dealer could not get 315's programed in on my truck...they did 285's the biggest the 06 computer would allow????
revs per mile for a 315/70/17=586.9
