south bend 3250DD shiftability??

Hi, I have a 3250 DD street dual disk clutch on the bench ready to go in but i have a few few questions. I ordered the clutch because initally after i installed injectors and a turbo last may i could easily slip the CON OFE that is in the truck. After driving the truck for 1 1/2 weeks waiting for the new clutch it seemed that the CON OFE could now handle alot more power. I'm not sure why as the clutch was already broken in properly with about 25000 miles on it. I any case the trans shifts great with the OFE, fast and snappy without having to wait between gears, and i can only slip it when i really turn up the rail pressure and TST box. My question is to those with a 3250 dual disk. Does it substialally slow down the shifting of the NV5600 due to the extra rotating weight of the cluch disks, or does it still shift as fast as a single disk just with more effort on the shifter. Any insite would be helpful as i would hate to install the dual disk and be disapointed. thanks in advance, steve

Yeap. The DD3250 will be slower shifting than a single. I went from stock to the DD3250 and before I could slam the gears no problem. Now if im slaming gears I get a clunck or a short gind going into gear somtimes. now thats only extream diving tho, nomal driving is geat. I think if I get the rpm right before the shift I can complete just as fast, but I dont have that quite figured out yet.

I have no problem slamming the gears with my 3250, it might be just a hair slower gut not much. The only time I have problems shifting is if I let the rpms get to high doing burn outs. The pedal pressure on mine is less and fells better than the stock clutch.
