I am attempting to get some done. I have aeroturbine....I would like for everyone to hear the import car sound at 1500. Sounds good other than that 8)...any way....current recording device picks up too much wind noise...and the rain has been steady..maybe one day soon :

Re:sound files for 03 exhaust
I did some seriuos checking on my 03 before I did anything. I was told be an exhaust shop (that I have used for a long time) that nobody is really offering anything for the turbo pipe because the turbo has a 3.5" outlet. The stock pipe is 3.5" back to the muffler and changes to 4" about 6" behind the muffler.
The best advise I found was changing to a straight through 4" inlet/outlet Dynomax or comparable muffler. and get rid of the 3.5" behind it.
I had mine done yesterday and I love it. I ended up going with an Airaid system (seals off aginst the hood, no hot air) and a Dynomax muffler. I hooked up to my trailer, loaded the Jeep and took off for a drive. Man, what a differance. It has a really good deep sound (NO rice burner stuff) and kicks butt. I can hear the turbo wind up like it was sitting next to me and it spools up a lot faster now too.
Just my 1/2 cent worth (on account I'm not right in the head).

Re:sound files for 03 exhaust
HO Cummins,
Don't have any sound files but we have been selling our 2003 common rail exhaust system since 02-03 and it has been sold to tons of Pac, Jake, BD etc exhaust brake owners without any problems etc. The factory systems fits the exhaust brakes so the performance system will as well. What you'll find is a deeper tone, and a louder exhaust note system when you nail it and a lot of lower egts. That way you can ad a "box" later and keep the egt's in check. We build them out of either T-304 stainless, it's a much better material than the 400 series stainless and it's not going to corrode, and we also have the same exhaust system in aluminized. All of our systems are built with 100% welded hangers just like the factory system so the install is super easy. They all come with a 5 inch rolled edge polished T-304 stainless tip as well as our Spiral Flow muffler. Check our site and call us if you need any help.

Re:sound files for 03 exhaust
I just had the system installed I bought from Diesel Dynamics, great sounding system, the sound fiels they have do not do the system any justice. Even my 7 month pregnant wife loves it. Any way any who has purchased the system, did you have to cut off 4 inches on the front pipe to the muffler? And did the hangers fit in the right spots that came with the system? Obviously if I am asking I had some problems, but it was worth it when it was installed. I have to watch it in my neighborhood when leaving, if i get out of 1st gear it gets a little loud. Especially at 0500 on a week day, lol. But if any one is curious about the whole experience, PM me and I will share.
