Background to my sound deadening quest:

So I had a detailing shop apply the QuietCar product to my truck hood, removing the hood liner (I'm getting a better one and some other sound deading stuff from atpwrap.com). They also applied the product the underbody of my truck.

Good thing I purchased the sprayer with the product because the ones the detailing shop uses for spraying undercoatings didn't work. He tried it because the sprayer I got though QuietCar does not apply the QuietCar product very thick. So unfortunately, it took him a number of coats. I took the truck in on Monday morning and with the drying time between the four coats I got my truck back Wednesday morning.

And what a difference! I'm sure it was spraying the hood that made the biggest change, but it is very noticible. I can now hear my muffler more than my engine, where before they were about equal with "regular" driving.

I really regret now not having sprayed this stuff in my doors and on my floors first before using the other sound deadening materials.

As for the amount to do the entire underbody and hood with the QuietCar, it took 3/4 of a five gallon pail. Soooo...I guess I have to figure out what to do with that extra pail...
