something's broken- front end ?s

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, cuz i'm not sure what's broken yet. Hopefulley somebody can help me... My truck was sitting for a few days, and when I first turned out of my driveway the steering wheel jerked back in small increments. I jacked it up and spun both front wheels, they were both ok when straight, but at full turn the driver side ran smoothly, but the passenger side was harder to turn and seem to stick at a certain point... Wheel bearing/hub or axle u-joint? I don't know enough (obviously) to figure this out just by searching through old postings... Thanks for any help... -RYAN

from the description-sounds like a possible wheel bearing-which would be the hub aseembly. did you move the wheel at all for any other possible problems?? up and down, would be ball joints. side to side could be tie rods. does the wheel in question make any kind of noise when driving/turning??

It is your axel U-joint. Stright ahead the u-joints do not flex, so no jerking.

Replaced mine recently. Had the same problem as yours before replacing the joints.

I posted a detailed how to at this thread:

There's no side to side or up/down movement really. u-joints were sorta what i was expecting... just did ball joints 3k miles ago, i wish i could have seen this coming, it would have been nice to do it all at the same time... Thanks, I guess I'll go tear it apart... again...
